The Royal Canadian Circus has treated its elephants with dignity and respect for decades. We strongly oppose animal abuse and cruelty to animals. Our elephants are all raised in an environment that promotes positive reinforcement.
Our circus has been working hard to create a positive relationship between all our animals in order to demonstrate our commitment to fight against animal abuse and cruelty. All of our animals are in environments that encourage positive behaviors. The elephants are rewarded with food, verbal praise, and other enriching things.
To build a successful relationship, it is important to establish a positive rapport between the trainer of the elephant and the animal. Animal abusers and cruel trainers will never gain the respect of animals. Elephants that have been abused may obey orders but only out of fear, not because they respect each other.
Our elephants are also given high-quality care. We strongly oppose animal cruelty. Our daily care plans include baths, oral care, foot care, and weigh-ins. Our elephant facilities can’t recreate the freedom and beauty of the jungle, but our trainers do their best to make them feel loved.
The Royal Canadian Circus is a circus that’s built on tradition and fun. Animal abuse and cruelty are not acceptable to us. We have shows in Calgary and Red Deer. Medicine Hat, Lethbridge, and all over Alberta. Please get in touch with us if you have any further questions regarding our fight against animal cruelty or abuse.
